The world’s top killer will be cancer by 2010, says the World Health Organization. And surprise, surprise, once again smoking is blamed in order to ratify an international tobacco control treaty. In conjunction with tobacco control, organizations are calling on governments to act to help fund cervical cancer vaccinations.
Apparently, no one takes into consideration the number of deaths caused by Gardasil, while not one death has ever been proven to be caused by smoking. Truth, however, has never been a strong point where tobacco control is concerned and the huge amounts of money to be made in smoking cessation products is a lucrative industry. And since there is an expansion of the world’s population there will naturally be more people getting cancer and more people candidates for the aforementioned cessation products.
All in all, a nice tidy sum is to be made by imposing tobacco control worldwide.
