The Great American Hot Dog Ban

School kids may be banned from eating hot dogs. Well, here we go again, sliding, careening down that slippery slope, which incidentally has become an avalanche in this ban-happy world.

Now some non-profit folks want to ban hot dogs from schools, stating that they cause colorectal cancer, just as tobacco causes lung cancer. What? No one knows what exactly causes lung cancer and I surely doubt that anybody knows what exactly causes colon cancer.

But here it is, folks, right there in black and white — hot dogs cause colon cancer. Is the Great American Hot Dog on the way out? I think not.
