A new study published in the Archives of Otolaryngology claims that SHS in teenagers caues hearing loss.
There was no indication of the cutoff between "active" smokers and "passive" smokers for cotinine measurements: jack it up or down a bit and the numbers change.

No correction for confounding of alcohol/drug use.

No correction for the fact that teens listen to ear shattering heavy metal and hip hop on earphones.

No note as to how MUCH effect was measured. The claim is made that it was significant… but was it? Why wouldn’t at least a sample reading be noted? The meaning of the study would be drastically different depending on whether the hearing loss was 30% or 30 hundredths of a single percent.

Another piece of junk science where they twist and manipulate the data to fit a politically correct conclusion.
