There is a FEDERAL movement to ban smoking in public housing units by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. They have specifically targeted the two weakest citizens of our country; the poor and the elderly.
This is disgraceful. The government has no business in our houses or our cars, which are our private property, whether we lease them or own them. The government has no business in our bedrooms or countless other places that they are infringing upon people’s rights. Government is supposed to serve the people not experiment in behavior modification. Tobacco is a legal product and heavily taxed. The special interest groups’ propaganda that secondhand smoke is harmful is another bold face lie. Give us one death certificate that states the cause was second hand smoke!
Adolf Hitler said "The bigger the lie the, more the people will believe it", but it is worse when the Federal Government believes their own lies.
