Georgina’s sweeping outdoor smoking ban did not pass as expected Monday and has critics charging it is intrusive, butts out freedom of choice and is an example of “playing politics”.
One doctor agrees, suggesing the ban goes too far and doesn’t have the research to back it up. “I don’t think it’s fair and I don’t agree with it,” said Toronto physician Abe Friesner in his deputation to council Monday. The Jackson’s Point resident has more than 40 years experience as a doctor with a medical practice in Toronto.
There is no reason to ban tobacco period especially outside!
