You’ll want to join in the cry when reading this posting by C.A.G.E. Canada.
C.A.G.E. refers to anti-fat legislation in Mississippi, also reported on today’s FORCES page, and related issues. The Healthist ideology is a licence for hectoring, harassing, and persecuting those who do not follow the party line on behaviour and preferences established by the Health Reich.
Being outraged is not enough. Getting angry is not enough. What C.A.G.E. writes should inspire urgent action.
“Imagine a world where people are told what to eat, what to drink, how to enjoy themselves, and how to behave in general. If they don’t do as they’re told, they’re vilified, fined, harassed, made to feel guilty, fired from their jobs or even imprisoned.
“It’s not too late, but we must learn from our mistakes. In that spirit, C.A.G.E. join their voice with Sandy Swarcz’ to once again appeal to citizens to unite in order to fight back the next and subsequent targets of intolerance and de-normalization.”
Fighting back with any means possible, may we add. Let us "denormalize" them. They are abnormal. They are monstrous.
