It amazes me the difference in data that is being used by the Anti-tobacco movement. An article in Boise claims secondhand smoke kills 3,700 people per year in the USA, while another article in USA Today claims the number is 445,000. Why the difference? Both are made up numbers by a computer program called SAMMEC. There is no solid number because one does not exist. While there is no proof the second hand smoke is harmful the propaganda that has been repeated during the last 20 years is no more than a scare tactic to convince people into believing that being in the same room with people smoking is going to kill them yet there is no clinical evidence to support those claims.
