<p>Cherry Hill Council members have passed an ordinance Monday night that will ban smoking in any Township-owned area.</p>
<p>The law makes it illegal to smoke on any public property, including Town Hall, the Cherry Hill Public Library, the Department of Public Works, on Township-owned trails and at any of Cherry Hill&rsquo;s 52 public parks and playgrounds.<br />

These people really drank the Kool Aid.<br />

Fairfax County, Virginia

Gerald Hyland of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisor is trying to force county employees who smoke to take classes to help them quit.<br />
<br />
He has little to no support on this issue because almost everyone in Virginia knows about the Dillon Rule of Law.&nbsp; If the state hasn’t passed legislation on a particular issue no county, town or city in Virginia can pass a law that is different from state law.<br type="_moz" />

George Washington University

George Washington University officials decided to announce the coming of an on-campus smoking ban during the American Cancer Society&rsquo;s Great American Smokeout on Nov. 15. Before they could do so, dozens of students and staff members were lighting up in protest.<br />
<br />
GWU, home of ASH and John Banzhaf, really cannot enforce smoking restrictions outdoors.&nbsp; The campus of GWU is in downtown D.C. where normal people walk who can smoke all they want because there is no outdoor smoking bans.<br type="_moz" />

Missouri

Missourian’s voted NO to a new tax on cigarettes, cell phone tax and raise gasoline taxes.&nbsp; Good for them!<br type="_moz" />

Kentucky

Kentucky is considering raising the tax on cigarettes by 60 cents per pack.&nbsp; Legislators appear to be brain dead:&nbsp; tobacco taxes already give the state hundreds of millions each year from the MSA and smokers pay for 10 million children’s health insurance (SCHIP).&nbsp; Enough already find something else to tax.<br />

WHO
