Heartland Report on CDC findings on e-cigarettes

Electronic cigarettes have quickly become one of the most popular tobacco replacement products, with the total market expected to hit $1.7 billion in 2015. E-cigarettes have proven effective at helping smokers reduce their cigarette use or quit altogether and thus are expected to result in significant public health and financial benefits for states. For decades, legislators have attempted to reduce the negative health and economic impacts of smoking through taxes, bans, and strong regulations, and recently some legislators have tried to extend these same failed policies to e-cigarettes, even though there’s no evidence e-cigarettes are harmful.
Action Alert for Vapers and Freedom Fighters

FDA regulations.

The FDA e-cigarette deeming regulations have entered the final stage for approval now that they have been sent to the White House Office of Management and Budget’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OMB/OIRA). The deeming regulations have the potential to devastate the Vapor Industry as we know it today, with some estimating over 95 percent of all products on the market today will be banned!

The FDA Deeming Regulation Would:

Require that all electronic cigarettes (Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems) manufactured after 2007 must submit a "Pre Market Tobacco Application" for the FDA to review. The cost of this would be prohibitive to the vast majority of companies, the process would also be long and time consuming, stifling innovation and technical advancement within the Industry.

Put 50,000 plus Vaping Industry Employees out of work.

Create a monopoly or oligopoly of just one or several legal (i.e. FDA approved) Electronic Nicotine Delivery Systems (ENDS) manufacturers and products – with large tobacco companies the most likely winners…oh the irony!!!

The good news is we can fight this. Electronic Cigarette Companies continue to fight their corner and are arranging meetings with the Regulatory Office in Washington. They will demonstrate the impact these regulation will have on the Industry, putting the very people America proudly shouts about out of business. America, the land of opportunity, the place where the Entrepreneur should flourish, the American Dream, all under threat from ill conceived and poorly thought out regulation.

Now, how can you, the Vaper, make your voice heard?

Call the White House: (202) 456-1111 or (202) 456-1414

Demand that the FDA reconsider the damage that will be caused by implementing the current draft of their tobacco deeming regulations.

Thousands of Vapers have already made the call, let’s keep the pressure up. This is prohibition by the back door and must not be allowed!
Smoke and Mirrors behind e-cigarettes

We have all heard that before with real cigarettes but recent events in Europe are encouraging smokers to make the switch. E-cigarettes are 95% less damaging than real cigarettes, yet many countries and cities are ignoring those facts and banning them anyway, using the same old tired excuse "for the children"argument.

What about the adults? How about saving the ADULTS, don’t we count?
Public Health England

Last week PHE, announced that e-cigarettes are 95% less harmful than conventional cigarettes and should be offered along side other smoking cessation devices.
Very enlightening!
