Yep, drinking is good for you. ‘New research presented at the annual European Congress of Rheumatology on Friday showed drinking at least three units of alcohol a week had clear protective effects and 10 units brought more protection still.
One unit is roughly equivalent to a glass of wine or a small beer.” Drinking is so good that “…alcohol may also have a beneficial role in heart disease, stroke, some forms of cancer and perhaps Alzheimer’s. Henrik Kallberg of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm said his research showed consuming three or more units was associated with a 50 percent drop in the risk in developing rheumatoid arthritis (RA).” Now get this: drinking is so damn good that it was even “ enough to offset the risk of developing RA caused by smoking or genetic factors.’
Stop right there: how does smoking “cause” RA? In the same way drinking “stops” RA: with questionnaires! Huh?… Let’s be clearer. How did the junk scientists know about the drinking and the smoking of the study subjects in the first place? They just asked the subjects to guess their intakes — how else could they do it? Certainly they could not live with them for years to find out! Therefore, by comparing those who remember less drinking and more smoking with those who remember the other way around, the memories and the imagination of the interviewed was transformed by the junk scientists into exact numbers to express the 50% drop in risk, and the benefit/causality of RA inferred with a scientific tone – a tone that the ignorant and the fool can take seriously. That’s how you make a career and the big bucks, nowadays. What science?…
