The Ritz Carlton in St. Louis was busted when Pat Lindsey, the executive director of Tobacco-Free St. Louis, snitched. The Ritz Carlton was holding a black tie cigar event which was attended by 400 people. Their cigar bar was too small, so they moved the event to a small ballroom. Lawyers for the Ritz Carlton believe they were allowed to use the room based on the 20% allowable smoking area.
This is pathetic. In America, the land of freedom and liberty, people are now snitching on neighbors, and events that they would never even attend. This is how fascism begins.
Australia Cans vs Bottles
Crack. Fizz. Gulp. Ahhhhhh. Is there a drinking experience more classically Australian than ripping the ring-pull off a beer? "The visceral pleasure from that first crack of a beer can is identical to popping a champagne cork," says wine and drinks writer Mike Bennie. "There's also huge appeal in the tinnie's nostalgia factor."
