Mayor’s climate aide gets $160,000 a year

A contrived job in San Francisco government pays a very real salary. In conjunction with my recent article regarding San Francisco’s new Healthist policies we are now privileged to understand the "why" of it all. The San Francisco Chronicle researched city records and the San Francisco Controller’s Office to report some salaries and estimated benefits that will positively make you ill. Most strikingly, while the national economy staggers and most folks can barely make ends meet, if at all, Mayor Gavin Newsom has concocted a job for a senior aide entitled "Director of Climate Protection Initiatives" and given him $160,000 a year! Isn’t it amazing how unelected people get into these types of positions? Then they proceed to tell us how to live our lives.
