SOME FAST TONGUE-IN-CHEECK EXCHANGE WITH AN ANTISMOKERFrom: anonymous hero We have received this letter for our forum from a courageous anonymous antismoker who has swallowed ALL the sewage antitobacco has produced to date. Let us have some debunking fun. > Dear FORCES: > I don't know how you can say that antismoking ads ruin people's lives and lead them to suicide. Well, let's just say that people who lose their jobs because they smoke do not have their life exactly fixed, for example. > I do know that some people would kill themselves if the were forced against there own will to stop smoking. Many would rather kill themselves than being deprived of their liberty. There is nothing wrong with that - but there is a lot of wrong in forcing people to be what they don't want to be. > But that is only because the person becomes dependent on nicotine. Nicotine is 1000 X more potent than alcohol, 10-100 X more potent than barbiturates, and 5-10 X more potent than cocaine or morphine. Really!!??... And on what scientific evidence do you make such statements? Please don't quote us the BS propaganda agencies. Where is the scientific proof? > It's an addictive drug. Really??!! -- again. And again, bring proof - or just shut up. > Don't forget about all the yummy additives that are put in cigarettes. About 400 of those are poisonous. Please give us the list
- and make sure they are artificially added, too. We keep hearing about
these additives - so terrible, so poisonous, so really baaaad - but
we never see the list of them, or the amounts added; we never receive specifications
on the chemical procedures followed by those monstrous, slimy folks of
the tobacco industry... -- Hey, this is going to blow your socks off. ... We have a humble question, however: if those monsters enjoy killing people for profit, what kind of profit do you get from a dead body? > Anti smokers are trying to save peoples lives. You mean statistical lives. You cannot prove one single tobacco-related death as uniquely caused by tobacco. NOT ONE. And by the way, those noble, disinterested antismokers - so pure - what are they doing getting hundreds of millions of dollars from the pharmaceutical industry to promote smoking cessation drugs? Heroes and nobles have to be untouched by the vile money - or do we make an exception for the antitobacco scum? > It's just like pollution, we are taking steps to clean the environment, and antismoking supporters are taking steps to get rid of tobacco.
> Tobacco kills thousands of people every year. Prove one death, or shut up - the second option is easier. > It's the most preventable cause of death in the US. Really? How much do they pay you to recite this worn out, trite line? Or are you foolish enough to recite it for free? In that case, you really need attention. > Even those who try to stop smoking have withdraw symptoms such as irritability, anger, hostility, anxiety, nervousness, panic, poor concentration, disorientation, lightheadedness, sleep disturbances, constipation, mouth ulcers, dry mouth, sore throat-gums-or tongue, pain in limbs, sweating, depression, fatigue, fearfulness, sense of loss, craving tobacco, hunger, and coughing. Nice job of cut-and-paste. Aren't computers nice? You don't even have to think about it: just highlight it, copy it, and - PRONTO! - the thinking is done for you. Perfect - for antitobacco zealots! By the way, are you sure that you copied from the right website?… Most of those are the symptoms experienced by the victims of Zyban (Bupropion), the antismoking drug that your heroes are paid to peddle to us. It certainly does make you quit - one way or another! BUT... we concede irritability when you quit. Who would not be irritated to give up such a great habit, and to cave in to brainwashing just to fit the New Order?! > So they might as well not quit at all. Good idea. > Whether they deny it or not tobacco companies market to kids, which they know they can addict early and make millions off of later. Uuughh... Nice worn out line again. Please show us/send us some ads along these lines: "Hey, kids, smoke! Every good kid smokes! Do you want to look cool? Smoke [brand name]." We would be curious to see that. After such a resounding statement, we're sure you have plenty of ads like that... no? We, on the other hand, have similar ads from MacDonald, which has even created Ronald to addict children... What about Coke? Those bastards... covertly adding caffeine to addict children! But your friends the health Nazis are getting around to fix them too. Good job. Living is dangerous to your health, and every bastard who sells merchandise that encourages living should be punished! > They use models in their ads, which would look nothing like a real smoker. They put the Surgeon General's Warning in white because that's the last place you eye will look on an ad.
> Do you think that big tobacco CEO's let their kids smoke? We are sure that you know all of them personally. > Will you ever see through all the manipulations and lies? Our job is to see through the manipulations and lies of your heroes, the antismoking scum. And - boy! - are we ever plenty busy. > Sure there are risks in everything you do, every activity, even every piece of food you eat. Very acute observation - really. Most antismokers can't even see that. They feel that once you have eliminated smoking, death and disease are eliminated as well. But now that has changed, actually, because they are going after the food, too; lots of money to grab there, and diversification is good for business. So, let's get rid of smoke and food, and then we'll be basically immortal. > Tobacco smoking is a risk that we as a society do not need to take. Why not? Who the @ * § # are you to tell forty percent of the adult population what risks it has -- or doesn't have -- to take?! What do you and your like suffer from, the Napoleon syndrome? > Death by smoking is something that is almost too easily prevented. To prevent a "death by smoking" first you have to
scientifically prove that there is one. The antismoking goons cannot prove
even one - they attribute, from the throne of their dishonesty. Unless
there is proof, any "prevention" is an arbitrary
concept. > Get real. Know the facts. I sincerely hope that you re consider your stance on tobacco, for you, for all of us. YOU get real, buster. We know the facts and, differently than you and your like, we can prove them with science. Perhaps you should start smoking to regain some intelligence - no offence intended. You should be mad at your heroes; look at what they have done to you: your brain, and the brain of so much of the population, is so washed out, it makes a bleached sheet look dirty. It's an epidemic!
