Further Information Does is really take physically separated rooms to “protect” non-smokers from the non-existing dangers of passive smoking? Does it take super-expensive air circulation systems, or “tornadoes”? Does it take prohibition and smoking bans?
Certainly not. All it takes is a slightly negative pressure area, as this experimental study clearly demonstrates.
“The overall results indicate that non-smokers exposure to ETS can be effectively reduced in the office workplace without regulations or policies that require either direct exhaust of air from smoking areas to the outdoors by dedicated ventilation systems or total prohibition of smoking within buildings.”
That would suffice if the purpose was to make both smokers and non-smokers comfortable. Of course that is not the goal. The intent is to denormalize and demonize smokers, punish them and make them feel like social rejects who, to be “socially acceptable,” must run to the drug stores, buy pharmaceutical nicotine, and feed Big Pharma that controls “public health.”
