THE EPA ETS FRAUD THE WORLD HAS BEEN CHEATED BY THE ANTI-TOBACCO CARTEL
There has been ample scientific evidence that Environmental Tobacco Smoke is not harmful, and FORCES has said it all along, and so have all other smokers' rights organizations and honest scientists around the world. Virtually every single operative of the anti-tobacco cartel has been notified in good faith with studies and other documentation, letters, pleas, meeting, and any other means available. Federal, state, provincial, and local governments also have been notified. But no one wanted to hear the truth.
We now call for the political and criminal investigation of all the parties involved in the anti-smoking campaign in Canada. The credibility of the institutions by which we govern ourselves as a people is at stake, and in extreme jeopardy. Responsible citizens who value a stable and enduring process of government must stand to this task. The alternative to investigating these crimes against science and civil rights is anarchy through political chaos, and the insitutionalization of corruption and deceit to achieve political ends.
THE FORCES USA/FORCES CANADA PRESS RELEASE (July 21, 1998) THE NSA PRESS RELEASE ON THE FEDERAL COURT SENTENCE ON THE EPA ALEXANDRIA, Va., July 20 /PRNewswire/ -- "Since 1993, the National Smokers Alliance has urged elected officials around the country to resist public smoking bans because the science related to environmental tobacco smoke is simply not sufficient to alter public policy. Those elected officials who have resisted the pressure tactics of anti- smoking activists and researchers now have further reason to believe their more measured approach is correct." We welcome the US federal court judgement rejecting the EPA's claims about ETS at this particular time because the government of British Columbia has just passed a law that basically empowers municipalities to ban smoking in any way they please, above and beyond the rights of individuals and business owners, and all this based on faulty science and false information. The alternative to investigating these crimes against science and civil rights is anarchy through political chaos. TOBACCO COMPANY STATEMENT IN RESPONSE TO JUDGE OSTEEN'S RULING IN THE EPA LAWSUIT "We feel vindicated by the federal court's decision that the EPA wrongly classified secondhand smoke as a cause of cancer in nonsmokers. This decision should prevent the EPA from becoming a participant in the anti-smoking industry's crusade to ban smoking." ... "Striking down the EPA's contention that secondhand smoke causes cancer destroys the basis for those agencies and state and local governments that have banned or restricted smoking because of the EPA's classification. The court's ruling supports Reynolds Tobacco's long-held belief that the science does not justify public smoking bans."
